Lorenzo Bernardi

ABOUT

Born in Trento in 1994, Lorenzo Bernardi is an accomplished guitarist and musician. He embarked on his musical journey at the Conservatory F.A Bonporti of Trento, where he graduated in 2015. He continued his studies under the guidance of Emanuele Buono at the Conservatorio L. Canepa in Sassari, earning a Master’s Degree with honors. Seeking further specialization, he pursued advanced training at the Conservatorio de Musica Manuel Castillo in Seville, Spain, under the esteemed Professor and guitarist Francisco Bernier. Additionally, he pursued chamber music studies under the esteemed mentorship of Maestro Giancarlo Guarino, earning an additional Master’s degree with distinction.

Lorenzo’s musical talent has taken him on a captivating journey across the globe. As a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestra member, he has enthralled audiences in prestigious venues across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, including: Italy, Spain, Hungary, France, Denmark, and Finland; Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay; The United States and Costa Rica; Bahrain; Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and India; Kenya.

His performances have graced prestigious halls, including the Real Alcazar of Seville in Spain, the Victoria Memorial in Calcutta, India, the Chulalongkorn Music Hall in Bangkok, Thailand, the Vietnam National Academy Recital Hall, and the Teatro Principal in Castellón, Spain. Additionally, he has mesmerized audiences at the Nave Cultural UnCuyo in Mendoza, Argentina, and the Auditorio Radio Nacional in Córdoba, Argentina.

Lorenzo is frequently invited to serve as a jury member for international competitions. Notable appearances include the Calcutta International Guitar Festival in India, Alma Hanoi Guitar Festival, Saigon Guitar Fest in Vietnam, and Encuentros de la Guitarra de Panamá in Panamá City.

Passionate about sharing his knowledge and expertise, Lorenzo has conducted masterclasses at esteemed institutions such as the Conservatori Superior de Música Salvador Seguí de Castelló in Valencia, Spain, Universidad de Costa Rica in Palmares, Costa Rica, Universidad de Chile in Santiago de Chile, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Argentina, and The University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

In 2019, Lorenzo’s research work, originally initiated as a thesis at the “Canepa” Conservatory of Sassari, culminated in the publication of “Agustin Barrios Mangore: Al estilo antiguo” under the DaVinci label. This project explored the influence of Italian musical forms, as well as broader European traditions, on the Opera of Paraguayan composer Agustin Barrios.

Collaboration lies at the heart of Lorenzo’s artistic pursuits. He has collaborated with esteemed musicians such as Vietnamese guitarist Thu Le and Italian mandolin player Carlo Aonzo. Together, they have embarked on successful tours across Italy, the United States, Panama, and India, presenting the captivating project “The Golden Age of the Mandolin.”

Currently, Lorenzo is fully engaged in a collaboration with Italian violinist Saverio Gabrielli. Their highly anticipated album, “Two Italians,” is set to be released in Vienna, showcasing their exceptional musical synergy.
