The meeting, as fortuitous as it is artistically fruitful, between two young performers far away by birth, culture, language and training (Lorenzo Bernardi from Trent and Marko Topchii from Ukraine) gives the Sunday Concerts of the Trento Philharmonic a welcome opportunity to bring back on the stage a tool loved and sought after by the public.
The strong appeal of the instrument and the performers is combined with the happy anthological composition of a program built around pages rich in constructive intelligence (Bach), idiomatic and visionary virtuosity (Castel Nuovo, German), brilliant ethnofolcloric colors, operatic echoes never forgotten ( Giuliani), fresh and aggressive rhythms (Coste and Koshkin). This unpublished Duo is formed by Lorenzo Bernardi, born in Trento in 1994, brilliantly graduated from the Bonporti Conservatory of Trento in 2015 with Norma Lutzemberger and then perfected at the Sassari Conservatory with Emanuele Buono. A young age but a prestigious curriculum, where one reads of a very recent tour (2017) in Japan that is added to the concerts offered in Spain, U.S.A and Argentina after the affirmation in national and international competitions in Catania, Legnago and other important venues. Fresh the victory of a scholarship at the Conservatory of Seville where Bernardi will study with Francisco Bernier. Marko Topchii was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1991 and already has over fifty awards in international competitions, the last of which (October 2017) right in Italy at the international competition “Michele Pittaluga” of Alessandria. An absolutely authoritative springboard for every winner who follows another prestigious statement from the ‘Maurizio Biasini’ in San Francisco a few months later. A star caught for Trento at the time of its most rapid ascent.
